After the canonization of François de Laval, founder of the Quebec Seminary and first bishop of New France, the Seminary priests wished to make the entire known documentary corpus – archival, bibliographic, and iconographic – concerning the Saint known to researchers. To do so, they mandated the Centre d’animation François-De Laval to identify, locate and make accessible all these documents in one single database.
