Privacy Policy

Foreword

The Centre implements all reasonably necessary measures to ensure that its website complies with applicable privacy protection legislation in Quebec and Canada. For this reason, browsing the website, including any purchases made online, is governed by Centre’s privacy policy, which, in particular, is intended to inform users about the nature of personal information which may be collected, used and shared to third parties, if applicable.

Privacy Policy

We are aware of your concerns about the privacy of personal information disclosed during a reservation or purchase. Thus, we certify that under no circumstances will your personal information, such as name, address, email and phone number, be given or sold to any outside company for use.

When you browse our site, we also automatically receive the Internet Protocol (IP) address of your computer, which allows us to obtain more details about the browser and operating system you are using. This information will only be used to support our customer relationship.

The personal information we collect is received through forms and arises from the interactivity established between you and our website. As indicated in the section below, we also use cookies and/or log files to amass information about you.

We use the information collected for the following purposes: newsletter subscription; subscription to the Centre’s newsletter; purchases; comments; prayer intentions; research support service.

Right of Veto and of Removal (Opt-out)

We are committed to offering you a right of veto and of removal regarding your personal information. The right of veto is understood to mean the possibility offered to online visitors to refuse to have their personal information be used to certain ends outlined during collection.

The right of removal refers to the option offered to online visitors to choose that their personal information no longer be used in a mailing list, for example.

Communication by Email or Electronic Means

The Centre may communicate by email or electronic means with Users, particularly with those who have placed orders for the purchase of products, those who have sent requests for information, those who have registered for one of its contests, those who have subscribed to one of its newsletters or those who have joined Centre’s social media pages (such as Facebook or Instagram). These communications may be considered to be commercial electronic messages (“CEM”) within the meaning of the Canadian Anti-Spam Law (“CASL”) and its regulations. Even if it can be exempted by CASL from requiring consents under CASL, Centre policy is to require the explicit consent of any User prior to sending a CEM, in addition to offering any User the power to unsubscribe at their discretion in order to stop receiving CEMs from Centre by activating the unsubscribe hyperlink or by sending an email to the address indicated in the Notice and Communication section. If you are of the opinion that you have received a CEM from Centre when you should not have received it, please write to the address in the section Notices et Communications and Centre will take the steps reasonably necessary to quickly correct the situation.

The personal information we collect is kept in a secure environment. The people working for us are required to respect the confidentiality of your information.
To ensure the security of your personal information, we use the following measures: SSL protocol SSL (Secure Sockets Layer), Automated backups, Firewall.
We are committed to maintaining a high degree of confidentiality by incorporating the latest technological innovations to ensure the confidentiality of your transactions.
